Team Building Skill from CCC (Campus Crusade for Christ)
SPEAKER: Jeffrey Mańola
THEME: All people are born and made to be a leader
From:  Ate Arlen

In the other half of the day of our Interpersonal skills, we played game in the field that would open our minds in life. Like in the 1st game we had “BUILD ME” we were given twelve (12) nails, the scenario was to hang the nails with only one (1) touching the ground. At first we have a lot of troubles on putting it up and sharing of ideas, we tried a lot of tactics before we figured it out. And we were given a moment to think what have we learned to the exercise we had. There were a lot of them, said that UNITY, TRUST and LEADERSHIP. UNITY, in the since that all of the twelve nails played a big part in building the exercise that was given. TRUST, for who would think that, a single nail could support the other eleven nails with out anything but just a single nail itself.  LEADERSHIP, because the nail that supported them all in standing was like a leader, the nail became their foundation in standing all of them, just like in a group, and it needs a leader to lead them and a member to cooperate. The second game was the “SPIDER’S WEB”, it was quite more difficult, we were so rush in finishing the task not knowing what are the best strategies to apply on the given task, we were luckily Ate Arlen had pity on us and let us tried it again and again to let us see what was locking, we don’t have a unity and have our own ideas on how to pass the web, after that we stop and think of a good strategy, and suddenly Ate Arlen point me out and told the group that I will be the only one allowed to talk and give command, mental blocked on my situation, I just thought on who’s the right one to fit to the holes that we would all passed w/o any hustle. Next was Alannah, then George, Hopefully we were successful in our second task. Again after the task we had an open forum on what and how we do fell after the task and what are the learning’s we learned, We learned about giving yourself to others the trust just like surrendering to god our self on what he wants to happen to us, TEAM UNITY and most of all to be not rush in every situation to come. The (3rd) third task was “TRUST FALL” we were lined up to catch our team mate and our team mate will climb up to the stage and says “Are you ready?” And then we say “ready!” Then our team mate will say “I’m falling” and freely he will just let his/herself to fall to us. The game was all about TRUST in trusting your team mates that they will catch you. My experience in it was weird because I was really afraid in falling, it was worse because we were told to face backward it doubles the fright. But then again we were all not harmed or hurt. That was a nice experience I had because I was typically not the kind to trust especially, I know that I am a little bit heavy. Then again we had an open forum to the task we had, TRUST is really the thing we learned to the task to give in and don’t hesitate to give trust to others. And lastly the “BLAMING HOOP” the task was not to let go on the HOOP and bring it down with all our pointing fingers touching it, the task that I could consider the hardest, because we didn’t finished it in time, we were very hard on everybody because every time we try to put the HOOP down there would be a part on the hoop that would be on top and others finger would be detached on the HOOP, I guess because we were too busy thinking on how we could finished the task not thinking of the ways of setting our minds to our own and thinking of who are the one that are not cooperating will to the task. The main purpose of the task was to give as a very valuable lesson on to not blame others or judge others for you don’t know that even you are worse than the other.

@@@@@@@@@@@   During our Minor Fieldtrip at Sutherland   @@@@@@@@@@@@

Our minor field trip was in Davao City’s major contributor of high speed and fast growing business in the world today. We have visited the company during the month of September 22, 2010,  one of the most outsourcing companies in the field of service in call center agents the fast growing company here in Davao the “SUTHERLAND”. Sutherland is a BPO Company which means “Business Process Outsourcing”. BPO in which act as the one who is responsible in running services in all companies in which who’s going to be in need of their service. For instance, an insurance company might outsource their claims processing program or a bank might outsource their loan processing system. Other common examples of BPO are call centers and payroll outsourcing. Typically, companies that are looking at business process outsourcing are hoping to achieve low cost savings by handing the work to another people that can take the work in advantage of economies of scale by doing the same work for that would be done by the other companies. In exchange for the potential cost savings, the company in question must relinquish control over an aspect of their business which explains why business process outsourcing is often reserved for non-critical, non-core type of work. SUTHERLAND had been servicing for the past twenty (20) years nearly in the public since 1968 in had given millions of undergraduate and with people who are willing to work fully in the company like what our tour guide had opened up to us the job opportunities in the world of service it had manage to part take in some Job Offerings and hiring’s for other that are interested. Because of the customers, the company needs lots of employees to accommodate in their daily company operations in every service that a customer and other company’s would be requesting. By the company’s advantage of their knowledge, quality jobs and globally delivery options, clients are able to much more improve their sales, their marketing and other customer support they would need, while remaining focused on their other main problems. Sutherland Philippines offers an end-to-end set of contact center and back-office outsourcing services that clients can choose to implement in either an integrated or stand-alone manner. Currently, Sutherland owns and operates multiple delivery centers across the United States, Canada, India and the Philippines. In a way that they are really good in their job by there so called program WYSS system in which all the units and other mechanical devices are connected into one main frame. Those are connected to other countries and branches main frames and servers. That they say make them more advance in generating all, their client’s needs and requests.
